Cambridge Town House with Formal Entertaining Space and Terracing

About This Project

The brief for this large 5 story town house, was to produce a garden befitting the size and stature of the property, in this exclusive Cambridge development. As it stood, there was a large area of hardwood decking and a hot tub overlooked by the neighbouring property. Tumbled Limestone paving replaced the majority of the decking to create a formal dining space along with stepping stones surrounded by gravel to create a transition between the spaces. One of the main requests was that the garden look established to give privacy – to achieve this we chose mature trees, pleached trees and bamboo. Trough planters were used to created division between the areas and were planted with shrubs and perennials to give a beautiful summer display and encapsulate the spacious dining area.
