About This Project

We were privileged to be appointed to prepare Landscape Proposals for three sites around the new Impington guided bus route, a scheme that was being prepared but three separate architects. The architects felt by offering the three site’s to one central Landscape Designer it would help to create a stronger design proposal and unite the three sites.

We were approached by Boston Saunders architects to work on the historic ‘Histon Station’ a restoration and redevelopment of a the beautiful old train station building. The redevelopment would include a commercial space (cafe/ shop) and residential units. The brief was to prepare Landscape Proposals for the site to include a communal space which would cater for customers of the new shop as well as residents on site. The emphasis was on offering residents a robust but interesting space, and given it would be visible from the main road, it was imperative the design worked in harmony with the restored building.
