Church Rise – Tristen was approached by London architect Roman Halat who was working on a redevelopment of a multi unit residential property in Forest Hill. The site had been designed previously by another architect but lacked detail and clarity, and the client wanted a robust and detailed landscape design which could be submitted as part of a new planning application.
The brief was to review and re-design the private garden spaces as well as specify all new soft landscaping for the site. The largest private rear garden was a particularly awkward triangular shape, so by using soft landscaping and designing a layout to disguise the boundaries, the garden took on a much softer feel. The remaining garden areas were designed to offer practical and functional spaces whilst incorporating soft landscaping areas to enhance the biodiversity. The planting chosen was relaxed and calming with a number of textural evergreens and ornamental grasses for height and movement.
