The clients at Loxley had recently purchased the property after moving from London and approached Tristen to design the garden in two phases.
Tristen was initially commissioned to carry out the planting design and installation for the front garden with the owners very keen on a Japanese contemporary theme for the front, we filled the space with mature Acer trees, a collection of tree ferns and Rhododendrons as key items.
The back garden takes on a different, more traditional feel, although features an ornamental koi pond as the main attraction. The garden features large planting areas and a secluded dining and relaxing area at the bottom of the garden. Our clients were very interested in mixing unusual and tropical specimens with more traditional herbaceous plants to give a really eclectic mix.
