A large blank canvas surrounded by Leylandii hedging, made for an uninviting but very private space. The clients wanted to make best use of the area by incorporating a range of planting beds, a sunken fire pit area and stunning copper water feature. All planting had to be directed away from the surrounding hedge with height added using solid oak arches and pergolas. These add vertical interest and . Strategically placed Betulas and Acers trees hide imposing telegraph poles and help break up the dense green back drop of the Leylandii hedge.
